Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that CEB has the people, systems, operational controls, and managerial and administrative procedures in place to effectively ensure ongoing operating efficiency and tenant satisfaction in a 13-story, 280k sq. ft. commercial building in downtown Wilmington. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative member of the Executive Team and will hold primarily accountability for all building operations and school services, including capital projects, emergency planning and response, tenant satisfaction, school coordination, space rentals, facility collaboration, and leasing. This is a full time, salaried exempt position that regularly requires long hours and some weekend work. This position is eligible for full benefits and onsite parking.

Director of Advancement

The Director of Advancement reports to the CEO and, as a member of the Executive Team, directs the CEB’s fundraising and public engagement efforts. With a primary focus on donor strategy, the Director of Advancement serves to build an increasingly strong and diverse network of stakeholders across the region, engage current and new supporters, and increase financial investment in the CEB. As the chief fundraiser for CEB, the Director of Advancement spends considerable time visiting with and stewarding donors, partners, and prospects across the state and region and representing the CEB in the community as an extension of CEB’s CEO.

Public Benefits Navigator

This position will work with program providers including DHSS and Food Bank of Delaware to provide support to enroll eligible families in essential benefits programs, including federal meal benefit programs and provide ongoing workshops that connect families with additional essential resources. This is a part-time position of 15-20 hours per week working in the Family Resources Center (FRC) at the Community Education Building (CEB).

FRC Food Resource Specialist

This position will support the Family Resource Center (FRC) at the Community Education Building (CEB) to coordinate and schedule families for and our food pantry service and deliver food to families taking part in meal benefit programs. This will be a part-time position of up to 20 hours weekly during afternoons and early evening hours (potentially extending to Saturday).

Assistant Facilities Manager

As the CEB Assistant Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance and repair tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.). You will also serve as the facilities lead when the Manager of Facilities and Security is not in the building.

As the CEB Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance and repair tasks. This position is available for either full time or part time employment, including onsite parking and benefit eligibility for full time employment.
